This ring is a masterclass in layered goldsmithing. The polki setting at the centre uses the traditional jadau technique — the stone embedded directly into gold without prongs or adhesive, held by the metal itself. The engraved middle section is hand-chased, each leaf and petal individually worked by a karigar who has spent years mastering exactly this. The twisted rope border is hand-formed from gold wire. The granulation beads are individually cast, polished, and fused to the outer ring. The antique oxidising that ties the whole piece together — that warm, aged finish that makes everything feel like it has a story — is applied and controlled entirely by hand. This is not one skill. This is five skills, working together, on a single ring.
